Everyone knows that your pet is your fur baby, and we want them to be healthy! But what is safe for them to eat, and what isn’t?
Please note: This list is based on information gathered from the sites referenced and is not a recommendation for a diet change. Please consult with a veterinarian before experimenting with new foods for your pets.
The short answer is: YES! Your dog CAN eat zucchini! We recommend baking slices into chips but they can also be consumed raw. While your pet doesn’t necessarily need to eat vegetables like humans, it’s nice to have a healthy alternative for them 🙂 Plus it’s something you can share! Many dogs enjoy veggies, and vegetables can be a healthy treat in moderation.
Can Cats eat Zucchini?
Yes! Zucchini is also safe for cats! Among other vegetables, cats can eat certain veggies in place of store bought treats. When baking or cooking food for your pets, please keep in mind these important tips. Garlic, onions, salt, sugar, dairy, and xylitol are not safe for pets!! They don’t have the same sophisticated palette that you and I have, and do not need seasonings in their food. Trust me, they’ll eat it without that sprinkle of salt 😉 Happy eating everyone!
